I knew about students needing to grasp “wholes and parts” — I’ll put that up later 🙂 — but this applies that to multiplication in a similar way that letterbox lessons apply to putting sounds together to make words.
Yes, it seems SLOW. Just like structured, systematic phonics… it’s boring for me, not for them. It *teaches* the thinking that people sometimes think is innate.
And I’ll figure out how to separate my boring commentary on individual things later, too.
