This is to go with my almost done video about how good it is to use number lines throughout curriculum, and how to make them with Powerpoint. I need to do a scripted version ’cause … saying “I’m going to Control V” should be “I’m going to paste with Control V” and that sort of thing… but here are some nifty little links:

Number Line Resources:

UPDATE — I found the other ones I found 🙂

https://curriculum.newvisions.org/math/course/getting-started/instructional-routine-connecting-representations/ (okay, this one doesn’t go on the main list because it takes further digging to get to number lines, but it goes here so I can hopefully find it if I want it with the connecting representations tag.

… and *this one* that’s a good overall resource about connecting representations but including number lines in many contexts. http://www.wismath.org/resources/Pictures/Session%20136.pdf

Connecting representations  This includes an exercise in connecting representations with equations and number lines.   Students match equations (e.g. 5x=15) with their representation on a number line
