Students sometimes say “I was taking the test and I thought of what you would say” (or sometimes “I remember you yelling at me, ‘THINK!'” the one time…) … or they’ve said “could we bring you with us… a cardboard you?”
okay, anxiety is a real thing. What if students *could* bring some kind of icon… okay, we can’t bring things. What if we could provide them to the students? What if we could say “we’ll make an icon of the image of your choice within reason (dismembered animals will get me referring you to our people you get referred to that has a different name this year) to put in the corner of the screen.”
Okay, I’d prefer a small collection of talismans but figure that might get weird and unwieldy…
