TOnight was Mass with Father Tom. Read about Lazarus, which has that line. Jesus wept.
Homily about the need for and power of compassion when confronted with tragedy. Described examples from his experiences in El Salvador, Pope Francis in Bangladesh and the gasps rendered at “THe presence of God today is also called Rohingya” after he had met and wept with them (Muslims!) … and Obama after Sandy HOok. Then prayers and petitions were raised for local children, several who are in severe emotional distress b/c DACA. We were all holding hands long before the Our Father (which is not a tradition, it just happened).
That has nothing to do with education, I know. Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.
