Contrasts

Trying to design a lesson for a student who has accommodations but … a times tables chart isn’t going to help when you have to multiply 45 x 109. The symbol processing is overwhelming. It’s striking me just how helpful (i.e., critical) having consistent visual connections are, and also how important it will be to build things slowly.

In comes a student whose skill level on a “math placement test” might be the same who doesn’t need any of that.
Fascinating 🙂

… and then a third person comes in who embodies Trump culture. That description of how you manipulated sympathy and benefits from others? As if it were something to be lauded? Urgh…

Back to number lines…
