Documentation, android style

So, it’s been four days since I sent an email asking about why the “pre-launch report” wasn’t happening.

I was informed that “if you published the app in Alpha/Beta with the Publishing API, you’ll be unable to receive a pre-launch report.”  I’m given a link to where I would have been informed of this.

Now, I”m not sure that I published it “with the Publishing API.”   I’m not going to waste my time finding out.

I’m hoping that with my app, I don’t have a place that says “this is in progress right now — you’ll get results shortly” when, in fact, no, it’s not happening at all.   I do know that if I find out that it has such an error, that I’ll fix it. I’ll add “you can’t do this if…”

I’m thinking this is the culture of “it’s free!  Don’t expect us to fix things!” from the Silicon Valley special world of privilege.
