Struggle Sometimes Sucks.

It’s a good thing my life is very simple.  I am determined to learn this Java stuff.  I’m not sure whether I will be able to or not and I’ve already pretty much abandoned developing any other curricular materials.

Why?  Because of the glory of struggle.   Hey, we’re supposed to look for challenge.

It is harder than you think to design appropriate challenge.   In the kindling of the fire of learning, I can have a *great* tinderbox flaring up — but when you toss a redwood trunk on me, my fire is out.

My fire’s not out — it’s only an oak, not a redwood — but I do know that I am making more basic mistakes and not being able to play with concepts, so I have to Just Look For What Works in lieu of learning HOW it works, much less why.

And I might have to have another snow day.  Honestly weather, I’ll be okay.   Keep it under six inches and finish up by Sunday evening, okay?  And easy on the ice, erm?
