tEXAS don’t need no stinkin’ algebra

Similar to what I read from Virginia, Texas folks are questioning the value of putting everybody who ranks “developmental” in math in the same algebra-based track.
Hey, if people were actually learning that “rational algebraic thinking” in the curriculum, I might have a problem with that.
It would hint that when we’re designing curricular materials, we will perhaps worry less about dressing them up in their algebra costumes when we start with numeracy.
