back for more…

Been in and out… so it’s a slushy saturday and my back really aches, though like a sprained ankle, only when I use it wrong, but also like a sprained ankle, it’s hard not to use it.
Completely frustrated at finding information.   I’m not really asking for something for free — heck, I have bought this book, but it doesn’t have what I want.  Right now I’m stuck with a painfully basic process, so you’d think I could find a tutorial.  How can I get the stupid program to stop so I can answer the question?  THe game in the book doens’t have a timeline.  I drag stuff instead of it being animated.  I suppose I’ll have to get another book…

… so I looked online and found this book for AS3 for interactive agencies and thought goody! and then bettery! when it said “hey, it’s free, online, go to our site.” Only, that site doesn’t actually exist, and when I searched the author and enough key words I got to a  flashy site — as in,   gaudily  reminiscent of those  early HTML pages with neon scrolling and dancing gifs… and fundamentally inscrutable.  Looks like a gamer, so if I were “in” it might be obvious, but it’s not going to help me at all.

(oh, yea, here’s a link … ping!) http://www.hawsinteractive.com/#/home

http://www.classtools.net/samples/quiz got my hopes up a little too — I switched to “educational flash” — but it woudl seem it’s not helping you MAKE stuff, just selling you nifty little flash templates. Welp, none of the templates are of “nine lines” quality.

The search goes on  …
